As this hemisphere begins to warm always on schedule, I'll have my hummingbird feeders up before those fascinating critters always begin to show up by mid-March.
That's because me went extinct be the end of the Jurassic before they began to show up midway through the Cretaceous.
But guess what? Due to the quirks of geology and dumb luck, allosaur fossils got found first. I mean before any other two-legged carnivores that resemble me.
That's why Allosaurus means "different lizard" and why I starred as the top predator in a 1925 silent flick, the original The Lost World, based on on a novel written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame.
We've had some luck catching catfish the past couple weeks, one 6lb, and 2 x 4lb. I 'farm' some worms, and use them to catch some bait fish. Then leave a couple lines in the water all the time if possible. We have a automatic fish feeder that attracts bait fish, which attract bigger fish. Our next door neighbor also benefits from that and shares his catfish catch. Catching fresh fish is almost as sweet as pig and very satisfying. ;^)
"Global Warming? WTF? You LIED to us!!!!!"
LOL!
Starting Halloween 8 months early again!
