    The shame of it is that the closest place that I could imagine was what the USA was founded to be. The concept that people could govern themselves was so radical that it had never existed before and could not be perfected overnight. We were, however, like Icarus and could not stay with the plan when we got airborne. There is always some know-it-all that has a better idea and the sleeping electorate allowed him to fly right into the sun.
    Those that come here to escape the follies of their government are arriving just in time to see the USA becoming the same. Too bad for them but worse for us because we know there is nowhere to go,

      And it’s global too. Other countries are suffering from the same cultural corruption. Mark my words.. it’s only a matter of time before WE start sneaking into Mexico. Or the South Koreans start sneaking into the North. Because things are going to be less corrupt.

      Grab that branch of optimism before you go over the precipice. Truly consider this , for the first time we have the victims of this march towards Technocracy fighting back. People have awakened like I have NEVER seen. The evidence is drip drip dripping soon to be a flood. Truth/social will be the new blowhorn. Watching the resistance grow to over 35,000,000, worldwide protesting every weekend. Fighting back , Yes mothers at the PTA , Frontline Doctors , Trump and his massive following of Patriots., Truckers and protesters the world wide. The best President ever said two things..... one is “ Never ,ever give up” and “The best is yet to come”.

        On every issue there will be those against it and those for it. You cannot select a range of issues that you are for or against and aggregate the followers into a group and the protesters into a group because people are following inconsistent feelings rather than a rational philosophy. I have not seen any significant movement that would be any better than the random, mindless mob that we are stuck with now, Trump's minions included.

Just another never Trumper like Romney , Bush , Cheney , Kinzinger, McConnel , Graham , Flake , McCain , Gen Milley , Susan Collins , Chief Justice Roberts , the lying Fake news , big tech , and the geniuses from Hollywood.
          Regarding issues? The Border , the energy industry , federal regulations , peace with NK and de escalation in the Middle East , fighting crime , inflation , enterprise zones in the ghettos vs free crack pipes. Everything Trump did was resisted by those who would enslave us. Russia Russia Russia. That and mean tweets.
          If you think any of those issues were not BETTER with President Trump than what we are stuck with now I don’t know what to say.

            The patient needed surgery and Dr. Trump gave him Band-Aids. All of the never Trumpers you mention are just statists, no different than the Democrats. The effect of ruling by Executive Order is a temporary means that can be easily reversed by the next EO at the whim of the tyrant that can be installed in the office of the President. Most of what Trump did that was positive was counter what Bush and Obama did that was negative and now Biden is erasing him. Every time we see-saw we lose power, waste resources and drift into a system that inserts government into every facet of our life. Government is an agency of force that is established to protect individual rights. It is the gun, the arbitrator and the one that protects me from you and you from me so we can go about doing whatever we want as long as we do not rights of anyone else. We have a short time on this earth and that is all we have. It is a travesty to live one minute as a slave. To be a significant movement, giants need to be slain, not just gnats.

    I am not ready to give up on the USA where it exists and to go an hide in an outside place; I think we just have to fight here and try to convert the population. Of course, we need to get rid of the public education system to stop the indoctrination taking place.

      Never give up. For the first time in my life people see the corrupt intent of these parasites and they will not stand for it. The protests have just begun. Re: Schools . Yes imho school vouchers would be a big step in the right direction.

    Very true. I look at it as I have to be willing to give up some things to get back to that point. There are still ways to “hide” in plain sight.
    One of my plans involves moving to a Deep Red State. Even though I may have political differences with my neighbors, at least they won’t be in favor of pinning me down and injecting me against my will. And that’s turning out to be a big deal.
    COVID was a dress rehearsal that ripped the mask off. Or gave us glasses to see the world as it truly is. There will be MORE of this foolishness in the future. It worked too well. And I’m sure the next installment, with suitably tweaked tyranny, will be absolutely heinous.
    Anyway, moving to a Deep Red state close to the border with at least 2 other red states. So when things get a little too “COVIDIAN” I can just drive 15 mins and cross the border into, hopefully, LESS COVIDIAN surroundings.
    Grove, Oklahoma looks good geographically.

    The place exists fully inside my head. It always has. For a few short years I grew up living there. I cannot go back, no matter how many dreams I dream, no matter how I long for that childhood. I put aside those things that are gone, but memories will stay clear and fresh, reminding me that as long as I live and breathe there is still time to make more memories. There is still life. My life.
