Roger Pielke Jr.: We Are Successfully Adapting To Climate Change
Posted by CircuitGuy 3 years, 3 months ago to Science
In this podcast Dr. Roger Pielke Jr explains how the recent report on global warming, which UN Secretary General Guterres called “a code red for humanity”, actually contained information that was already known. Pielke explains that Secretary Guterres’ language about how global warming is “putting billions of people at immediate risk” is overstated and inaccurate. Pielke talks about how we know ranges of how fast global warming will occur, but reporters often focus on the most pessimistic side of the ranges without looking into the probability distribution. He explains how some of the most pessimistic scenarios use unlikely assumptions, like switching most of our energy to sources with the worst greenhouse gas emissions.
The interview ran a little long, but I still enjoyed it.
It is relevant to Ayn Rand b/c, as they mention in the interview, many people attach their issues to it, using it to sell socialism or denying the problem either because they don't like that it can be exploited by collectivists or because they just don't want to pay for the cost of the mess they make.

It's adapting to state sponsored climate dictatorship that's the real problem.
UN Sec Gen Guterres should be executed for advocating genocide.
- I knew it, CO2 is dangerous due to its spike!
Is it a protein or a poison pen type?
Must be the carbon content.
hard work that part is right. Building a vast edifice of fake theory, and renewabables, is not easy. Going for the truth about a non-existent problem and ignoring it is hard when such high levels of subsidy, acclaim and virtue signalling are available.
