Government Lies

If you were a young man in the 1950’s-1960’s and were introduced to the draft you probably are familiar with the fact that the US Government LIES to us on a regular and systemic basis. If you visited a recruiter you were told that if you enlisted and stayed in for 20 years you would be able to retire with a pension equal to half your pay for the remainder of your life plus free medical care and access to the Base Exchange and Commissary.

The lies began right then. You think of your pay as what you get in your check every month, but not the military! Approximately 2/3rds of you monthly check is ‘pay’ while the rest is ‘allowances’. Allowances include a housing allowance, a food allowance, and a military clothing allowance (for enlisted only), plus possibly flight allowance if you are air crew, and a myriad of other allowances for other specialties if you qualify for them. When you finally do figure it out you realize that if you are getting $3000 per month total before deductions of tax and Social Security, the portion of that check that is ‘pay’ is about $2,000 and that is what you get half of.

Then there is the part of the ‘free medical care.’ During the 1970’s congress decided to balance the budget (as if) by making retired military pay for medical care by forcing retired members to join Medicare at age 65 and to pay for Tricare between retirement and age 65. I know a lot of people have to pay more for their medical insurance, but that is not the point … the government LIED to the young men it was recruiting into the military. I know corporations due as bad or worse to their retirees, but again that is not the point. The government lies to us – the people we elect to represent us lie to us.

Now the government wants us to take an experimental ‘vaccine’ and this is the part that gets to me; for all the hate directed at Trump, he is the one who promoted ‘Operation Warp Speed’ to get the vaccine in the hands of injectors, and who promoted giving drug makers legal cover if the vaccines turn out to be defective in any way. Yet Biden is trying to take credit for getting everyone vaccinated and working on punishments for those of us who don’t want the vaccine. This makes no sense to me unless you consider that there must be somewhere people making a LOT of money out of this!

Am I really the only one who sees this as something more then we are being led to believe?

If it involves govt, then $$$ are definitely involved. It’s never about protection or security or health or education or land management or energy development or housing or border enforcement or communications or .... get the point?

No...liability for vaccine manufacturers was granted by the Feds in 1986, then bolstered in the Patriot Act. The Bushs and Dick Army played the key roles in that. And, it will never be reversed...too much money to be made.

Thanks for the clarification. We have been getting vaccinated regularly until this covid thing, but hesitate now because there has never been such a push to have everyone get the shot. From all the information I've seen about this it has been very much like the 'normal' flu season except that the government wanted the power to change the rules of elections to make it easier to implement 'Chicago' style systems.

TomB666 I told you when you first joined us, I didn't like you 'Name'. I think you are a bitter draft dodger. When my oldest child needed health care, he got it quickly and professionally. My youngest cost $5.35 (the cost of my meals for three days). My children had excellent teachers. I have excellent health care and can see any doctor I please without a referral. I get DIC (no tax required). I lived in beautiful homes, felt safe all the time. What the hell is wrong with all that. My husband loved his country and was in Korea during the Conflict and Viet Nam twice. He retired at age 37 and went into a well paying career that he loved and was greatly respected. When I asked him what he was doing in VN his response was, 'Fighting Aggression in Southeast Asia'. Go somewhere else with your baloney.

I have to admit to being a 'draft dodger' ... that is why I joined the USAF and served for 25 years - to beat the draft. My cousin joined the Army for 3 years also to beat the draft and to get a promised schooling from the USA. He did indeed get the school of his choice and upon graduation they handed him a rifle and told him which infantry unit to report to - he never again saw the work he was trained for. That is what led me to join the USAF. Perhaps by the time your husband joined they had stopped promising 'free healthcare for life'? There were a number of lawsuits over that promise, none of which the courts upheld that promise. As I recall the courts logic they said the government changes every two years and those in office cannot be bound by promises made by their predecessors. Who knew. Anyway I'm glad for you that it has worked out so well and if you have taken the emergency use authorized vaccine I hope it works well for you. Now exactly what did I write that was untrue? Baloney as you called it?

My business partner also joined the USAF in the late 60's to avoid being thrown into the Army meat grinder. He learned to service jet fighters and was only forced to retreat from the VC a few times during his 2 years in Nam. He had to give up a choice job with IBM (youngest ever IBM employee, I think) to serve with the USAF. Government action at its best.
Young and naive people have been misled by the feds for over 100 years. That has always been unforgivable, imo.

I don't think that the government's changing parties "every two years" is sufficient justification. If one government were actually OVERTHROWN (such as the French monarchy), perhaps its succes-
sor (such as the French Revolutionary Republic) would be justified in disclaiming responsibility for the previous promise, but short of that, no.

I find it humorous that people believe that numbers have so much power. When someone gets upset with my 666 they are telling me and the whole world that they believe numbers can be magic. So I'll throw a lucky 7 your way and hope you survived Friday the 13th without any harm befalling you. :-)
