I suggest they replace "sex designation" with "chromosome designation": XX or XY. (Or XXY or XYY in the rare cases where that happens and they've run the test to find it.)

That's also what they should be doing in sports to get around the whole issue of trans "women" competing against born women.

I think there's a concerted effort to confuse biological sex with sexual attraction and practices. The latter two can certainly be fluid. The former is biological reality. I vehemently oppose the notion of removing sex from birth certificates. There is also the trend toward calling mothers "birthing persons" or the like. As if men could give birth!

If a doctor can't identify gender at birth why would you trust his expertise on anything else?
Some things just are. I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. Used to be 5 foot 11 inches when I was young. Always wanted to be 6 foot two inches tall. I can identify as being that tall. It won't change that part of my identification. I will still be 5 foot 10 inches tall. Lost some height due to age which happens. Either I accept it or I die to prevent further shrinkage.
Learn to accept who you are and change what you can change about yourself to be better informed about reality so you are able to make better decisions about how to handle life. Quit trying to make reality go away. It is a dangerous desire and ends in foolish destruction.

Gender is binary and genetic, gender identity is social and may be other than binary. A birth certificate has nothing to do with how one chooses to identify and should reflect genetic realities as opposed to social vagaries.

Every human being is an individual and not to be considered as a part of a collective as to his identity.
I have seen several instances in the Gulch of 'knee jerk' emotion to act as though all members of a population are to be shunned because of someone having a certain viewpoint. If it is true that all doctors in their personal character are affected by the directives of the AMA that will cause a doctor to be incompetent, then by all means learn enough medicine to treat yourself with whatever black market drugs that you can find. Whether one is male or female or confused about gender is an individual belief and is only a consideration for mating and identification in the case of finding a criminal.
