Here is comes. If they can't strip the 2nd amendment then they will use the market to starve the industry into submission or cease completely.

A gun doesn't travel itself, load itself, aim itself or fire itself.

In order to purchase a gun from any dealer a form must be filled out and submitted to the FBI for approval. Should they be able to sue the FBI too? A few years back I purchased a shotgun from a gun show and got delayed on approval. I was not able to take possession for a week due to a FBI computer issue.

So, if a nut or terrorist drives a Ford pickup into a crowd of innocent people, do the victims get to sue Ford and the dealership that sold the truck?

You know...this banning guns business...if it will work so effectively, why don't they ban illegal drugs. Drugs are a serious problem and it would be good if we didn't have all the drug abuse wrecking peoples lives. Oh...I forgot...illegal drugs are "Banned" but unaccountably they still get in the country from all sorts of far flung places. Maybe this banning business doesn't work.

And the prisons are filled with people who were prosecuted for laws that have no victim (other than the prisoners.)
      Good for the prison business!
I am for free markets and free will.
Imprison the politicians and repeal all laws that don't obey the exact specific limits of the constitution.

Oh, that's good news! (Sarc) Now, if a vehicle strikes me, a pedestrian, I can sue the auto manufacturer for making and selling such a dangerous device. Knife manufacturers look out! As for police officers, they should never be given weapons which could, all on their own, jump out of holsters and kill people. Someone should sue the schools where the judge got his "education".

Its time to invent the replacement for the gun that can be 3D printed by anyone, made from commonly available materials, and could do the job of a gun, at least at close range for personal protection.

Maybe some sort of personal force field capable of deflecting bullets or attackers. Something that would be difficult for the government to outlaw.

Is Smith & Wesson publicly held? If so, the stockholders should band together and sue that synagogue, take all of its assets, and force them to shut down.

When hospitals are paid thousands to list some other cause of harm or death, other than vaccine, the truth will not come out. Only Britain has made public autopsies on early vaccine recipients available, and they showed the spike cellls in multiple organs, and death by the natural immune system attacking those organs. That is because of they way the vaccine sets the body up to kill itself.

I have a question? What purpose has the AR15?
Reply | Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink

How you defend yourself is a personal option. AR15 is a very good weapon for personal defense. It is not a military grade weapon and even if it was, as long as it was used legitimately it shouldn't matter to anyone.

To shoot bad people that are trying to hurt you or trying to steal or damage your property?
However, in Kalifornia the government will likely send more bad people to hurt your or steal or damage your property -- so be prepared!

Be nice mhubb, I only wondered if it was a hunting weapon or something recreational. Thank you AJA for your explanation. My husband spent 20 years in the Army (Combat Arms) and 17 years in law enforcement and I never even heard of an AR15! So I didn't know what it was used for. N

Listen BobCat, I may be 84 years here but I still scare some people. But thanx for the help! Hey, guess what we have going in our city? Besides 5 food pantries, we have a doggie food pantry! We noticed a lot of dogs roaming the streets and fear people can't afford to feed their pets. A young man stopped me today because he was thirsty and broke. I purchased a six pack of sodas and a cold Dr Pepper for him. He was really sad and embarrassed. I recognized the story he told about a fire at his home (my cousin is the asst fire chief). N

And glad to hear about the pet pantry, our 4 legged friends need our help more than some of the 2 legged critters roaming about ...

That's how I got Fred. One of my patients came in and said he couldn't have the veneers put on his teeth. He was a male model. I asked why not and he said he'd found a little puppy in the middle of the street freezing and afraid of the cars. I told him to bring him to me and he said,
in your office?' I assured him it was okay. When he finished his appointment and came for the doggie, I said 'Fred is staying with me.' He said, 'Oh I didn't know his name was Fred.' I assured him the veneers looked great and Fred is still with me ten years later.

              they came here
at best, they did not educate themselves
and this is not a place for that

to claim to have never heard of an AR-15 is ridiculous on its face

I beg to differ, mhubb. The Gulch is a good place to ask questions and receive an answer (education), especially in context of an ongoing discussion. There's even encouragement of such through the "Ask The Gulch!" feature.

Objectivity requires the acknowledgement of benign ignorance.
One who has had no exposure has no perception and therefore no conceptualization of any given "subject". The malignant partner to benign ignorance is assumption. When assumption is embraced or utilized it is known as arrogance.

Arrogance is the context of "I am right and you are wrong" regardless the exploration of either parties exposure and conceptualization. Dismissive would be the "operative" I would choose.

In context to AR-15; I'd not been exposed to this until maybe 5 years ago. And I am an accomplished marksman. What brought this to my attention was my acquisition of a home self-defence piece of armament. Living in So. Minneapolis had it's ....... jeopardy.

"When assumption is embraced or utilized it is known as arrogance. ..." Nicely expressed here.

How it can be assumed everyone here has a subscription to "The American Rifleman" is a bit of a stretch as well.

                        Thanks Big Gun!
Without getting drawn into the rhetoric of "The Source", I stayed "principled". Over the past 15 months I've endeavored to clarify and simplify objective thought and iteration into lay terms. Quite a process. The relief from living in a large metro area has done wonders for my clarity and sanity.

then stop being arrogant and telling others how to act
for someone to claim to not have heard of an AR-15 is not credible, if paying ANY attention to the news over the last 10 or more years

I love you too, baby, it's ok, this will pass.

Now, if you are so inclined, you may venture into the realm of objectivity through one of Ayn's most profound essays: The Objectivist's Ethics. This is an offered choice, not a demand or "telling" you what to do. This is an offer to self direct your mind perception to conceptualization....your choice to discover or not.
