Two Nevada Counties Go Constitutional

This occurred in early June. I didn't see it posted as an item in the Gulch so I thought better late than never. If it is a repeat, forgive me. But quite interesting. I know most of the Elko County Commissioners and hope this continues to catch on through the Constitutional Sheriffs and Police Officers Association.

The rural Counties in Nevada are in a desperate situation with the Democrat National Socialists in "power". Gov Sissylick just imposed mask mandates again on "select" Counties. Guess who?

I keep telling my friends who say "Nevada is liberal" that the citizens there are not. They have been infiltrated by a very small group of radical leftists and I think they will do the right thing to get them out. My friends who live there have all taken note of the situation and not like Californians on this...

A better way to say it is that Las Vegas is leftist. The rest of the state certainly isn't. But when more than 50% of the population lives in that one city, they control the politics of the whole State. Oregon has the same problem with Portland. New York has the same problem with New York City. Illinois has Chicago. Rinse and repeat.

So many Californians have moved into Vegas and Henderson, it's scary! They've built up sooo much. And they are pushing people out of their apartments too! Because they want a "high class of resident" in their stupid apartment complexes.

The "Lefty" stuff wasn't so bad like 10 years ago... I mean it was still fairly left. But it's waaaay worse now!

I am half surprised that Nye County hasn't joined up, but they have probably been invaded pretty badly with lefty Californians too. :(

I hear that Pahrump is the problem for Nye....

Not what it used to be. Where, oh, where is Art Bell? :)

I also hear Pahrump was having water issues a few years ago. (maybe even still currently) So I would suspect too much building out that way would be very detrimental to the environment out there. Certainly not sustainable!

Yeah, more people were starting to sorta migrate in that direction. Friends of mine were considering buying a house out there. but I think that idea fell through. Nye is a huge county! It's mostly ranchers and such. Last time I was there and went by Art Bell's old place, it was pretty much redone. But that was quite a long time ago! maybe 12 years? I haven't been out there in super long time. Nice little german cafe out there! My dad and I liked to go out there and peek at his house; he was a big fan! Not sure my dad likes George Noory or not. I've been trying to turn my dad onto Clyde Lewis and his Ground Zero Show. That's a good show, especially if you liked Art Bell.

Art had gone back to the Philippines after his wife died. I think he came back briefly? (I may be wrong on that one) I love the idea that maybe he just went on a space ship somewhere fun! But I think he died in the Philippines a few years after his wife died.

I used to listen to Art Bell on my pre-dawn commute from Fallon out to the Rawhide Mine. In 2001 I moved to Wyoming and lost track of all that. Came back to Elko area in 2008. As far away from Vegas as possible and still be in the State.

"Back in the day" during the commute, at the top of the hour I could get "Traffic and Weather Together" from LA. Five lane rush hour traffic was entertaining to listen to when all I was watching for was the occasional black ninja cow on the highway. I remember some poor city sucker trying to change a flat tire in the fast lane of "The Five". At times I might see the taillights of another solitary commuter about 9 miles ahead in the desert distance.

So much of Nevada is still like this. Good people that know how to produce. If it can't be grown it must be mined.

Indeed ... King County (Seattle) is the problem for Washington State. After 30 years, I moved to Arizona ... a number of reasons for the move -- including getting a good price on the old place due to the crazy housing price bubble and having a place down here that I got for less than half the price. I have only been here three weeks; my friends here are reasonable / libertarian / conservative. So far, so good.

Gives me an idea. Perhaps when a city becomes more than half of the State, it should become a State in itself, and a new State should be formed from the rest. This would better distribute the power from a Senate aspect. Nah, that might not work, just a thought. It's no wonder there are civil wars.

I'd just love to have leftists live in a leftist state for a couple of years. They can go try out the holes that such places inevitably become and leave me alone.

Sidolak is a total political hack and should be removed immediately. He imposed the mask requirement on black county last week but. 65000 people attending the gold cup in allegiance stadium were maskless I noticed that on tv with my own eyes) All the while I am forced to wear the stupid mask if I go to the local 7-11. I thought the reason for the masks was to public health. Obviously it’s another power grab that exempts the groups that are “connected” with government influence. And the media is totally silent. The rules are for the politically iunconnected only; government favored people do what they want. Time to revolt

"We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them...you create a nation of lawbreakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden." - Floyd Ferris

The reaction will indeed be interesting. In typical chicken-shit petty tyranny style, the edict became effective on this last Friday. Like Friday document dumps, they hope that more headline grabbing crises will supplant this as news.
So it will be left to the matter just spreading by word of mouth - the media, even local, will avoid coverage of any adverse reaction as much as possible.
With a year or more of history on this matter behind us, no doubt much of the individual citizenry will be pissed as all get out and disobey. There will be those, particularly in the 3 bigger cities (where the larger media outlets lurk) that will fall for the variant panic mongering.
The interesting part will be the reaction of the business entities - the stores, restaurants, etc, to this. It will also be predictable that the larger chains - the Wal-marts, Targets, Taco Belches, etc will immediately fold and comply in the hope that the smaller competition will continue to be wiped out.
I am especially interested to see how our County Commission handles this.

California is NOT really liberal...sure SF and LA have a ton of them, but the majority are conservatives...without Dominion, Trump would have taken CA too...along with NY...
