Freedom, A Way To Lose It
Freedom implies the right to make choices. But, we are not free to choose to break the laws of the land. Penalties are imposed if we make that choice. We have freedom to be creative and fulfill our unique individuality, but we do not have freedom.to impose our will upon others. The penalty is often paid for later by innocent bystanders rather than the perpetrator. That means that the penalty doesn't always deter the offender.
Reverse discrimination, affirmative action, quotas. and whatever is the latest buzzword-
All are discrimination, but on what is irrelevant.
All that ignores how to select the best for the job.
The original Jim Crow was pretty much dead by the late '60s, but those that use race as a cudgel (such as the white supremacist hiding in every closet false narrative and the rampant white privilege myth) need to keep the memory of it alive. Harping on that memory acts as a good smoke screen for the New Jim Crow and it holds millions of innocent white people hostage to a false guilt.
And freedom tastes of reality,
I'm free-I'm free,
AN' I'm waiting for you to follow me
If I told you what it takes
To reach the highest high,
You'd laugh and say 'nothing's that simple'
But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door
And no one had the guts to leave the temple!
I'm free-I'm free
And freedom tastes of reality
I'm free-I'm free
And I'm waiting for you to follow me
How can we follow?
How can we follow?
Song by the Who
Man, that's a long forgotten song.
The "laws of the land" have been corrupted and are not moral.
