Like I said. These people are stupid. When slaves were freed many of them took the family name of not only slave owners but various presidents, like Lincoln, Jefferson, etc. Are these black families supposed to change their last names?

I am laughing. My great great sold his plantation in Alabama and came to Texas in 1830 (long before the Civil War). There is a town with my family name and in this town where I live now there is a street with our name. We have a lovely group of black and brown families here and we treasure one another. We stand together.
