Will You Choose Freedom?

"George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel “1984,” protagonist Winston wonders whether he is the only person who retains a real memory and doubts the narrative of The Party. He has no way to find out whether everyone else truly believes the government-revised version of history, or simply acts like they do; discussing such matters is verboten, punishable by vaporization: deletion from history. Fortunately we are not quite at that point in the United States — no one has yet been vaporized.
However, we seem to be imprisoned by the force of social disapproval just as surely as Winston was imprisoned by the threat of instant death. Millions of lockdown opponents won’t make their position known even to their closest family and friends; taking a position publicly is unthinkable — they would lose social standing, clients, and possibly even their jobs. Thanks to this dynamic, the pro-lockdown crowd enjoys the appearance of majority consensus, and everyone gets…more lockdown.
If we all spoke freely, the result would be different. We are allowing social dynamics to control us by dictating which opinions are “acceptable.” This creates two distinctly misguided groups: one made up of people who hold secret views and behave inauthentically in order to please others, harboring secret resentment; the second believing it is larger and more powerful than it actually is. This false reality is not good for anyone. Believing you have legitimate support when you have only silenced dissent with intimidation is a great way to drive yourself off of a cliff.
Opinions must be freely expressed and properly dealt with to ensure good decisions are made."
We are begging for tyranny and a police state, all because we cannot accept our lack of control over viruses and billions of other people. Prior generations took this lack of control for granted. They never conceded to lockdown, but we did without even a debate. Having never been genuinely challenged, and accustomed to exercising choices and controlling outcomes, we believed we could first stop death, and then magically return to our free and ordered lives as soon as we wished it. Instead, we lost both our safety and our liberty."

The attempt to use voting methods that are no longer private may be the Welcome sign at the entrance to a Brave New World.
Now that we know better or at least question the rational, after fumbles and misstatements we should speak up...we should show up at our capitals and say: ENOUGH already...we suspect your full of schiff.
Most people agree that something doesn't make sense and shake their heads in private conversations...very few, I've met, are scared to death and it's very hard to get through to them.
Like all democracies and the societies they foster, one is undermined if not ruled by the mobs of the minority.
PS...started watching Brave New World on Peacock...it's really strange and disturbing...never read the book.
Fortunately I do at least live in a state that doesn't run along with the crowd (thank you Governor Stitt!). I am not really sure how I would have handled living in a state where everyone was frightened to death of each other and insisted on masking. We still had quite a bit of that here, but I can honestly say that past that first Phase I part, my life hasn't been impacted in a MAJOR way since then. We go out to eat at least 2X per week. We go grocery shopping. Went to a museum (on a light day) 2 weeks ago. Rarely do we wear a mask, or when we do, it comes off about 30 seconds past the babysitter at the door. I freely walk the wrong direction in grocery store aisles (who would have ever thought that would be something to comment about, or that there would BE a "wrong direction" in the grocery store!)
And today I noticed in Walmart (hate on me if you want, but they have what I needed) a MUCH reduced Hallowe'en section. Used to be Hallowe'en covered ACRES of territory in every Walmart, starting in Mid August. Can't wait to see how "Trick or Treat" goes this year, if it goes at all.
The whole thing boggles the mind.
I still think that, at some level, those genes infect the global delete, black [ig]nobility and the illuminati...and,,,the creatures that rule them!
They were the rulers in Sumeria and Babylon
I am convinced that even among those who know what kind of conspiracy is behind all of this, and who is responsible, there is a fear that to reveal the truth behind the virus and the resulting strategies enacted would be devastating to the American people's trust in our whole governmental structure. Translation: even the outspoken AG Barr may be hesitant to start taking names and kicking a$$. Hillary Clinton is long overdue for an orange jumpsuit for her many crimes, but she's still out there, making a fool of herself, at our expense. I have zero faith that the system is willing to sincerely act on our behalf.
I expect it to get worse.
Starting THIS September 1, the CCP has disallowed use of the Mongolian native language in its (Inner Mongolian) schools, but there have been years' worth of actions that have led up to this, which is seen by people in the free country of Mongolia as systematically dismembering their entire culture. This is felt to be a final blow, and the citizens of Inner Mongolia are feeling (correctly) that they are being stripped and assimilated. I assume that because they are physically inside China, they can't leave.
I have come to the conclusion that there is no depth to which the CCP won't go, in order to promote its purposes. Passing around a little virus - no biggie for them. I would even go so far to guess that it might have been a "test," for something more unpleasant to come. *Edit for clarity between Inner and Free Mongolia.

All Life lives as if there is no rescue.
Humans, the anomaly, live as if there is rescue.
Why don't humans live as if there is no rescue?
Is arrogance a uniquely human characteristic?
Is arrogance based upon ignorance and assumption?
The above questions are more of a self-directed wandering toward integration of hierarchy of conceptualizations.
This is all part of a search for the simplest common "expressions" of human activity to explain the multitude of permutations of conflict swings we encounter. And to express; I am looking at some fundamental anthropological events that changed human conceptualization, ie, tool making as example.
Arrogance is exaggerated confidence without factual support. I have witnessed animals attempting things beyond their capabilities and failing. Is that a demonstration of arrogance, or merely a mistake in their calculation of distance, speed, or weight? We can tie the evidence of human arrogance down, because we are, being human, able to recognize vocal tones and microexpressions that accompany statements that are inflated or bullying. We don't really understand the emotional component of most animals thought processes, so it's difficult to determine if they're capable of being arrogant.
Humans are born one of the most dependent creatures on the planet, so we experience needing support (rescue?) from our first days. It's an unconscious expectation that rescue can come if we need help.
I read "TOE" 11 years ago for the first time.
Roddenberry, I assert, was not just appreciative of Rand's work, but took it to an allegorical level with every episode. I've found no reference to him and "TOE" directly.
What you and I are sharing here is directly associated to both. I, as a living organism have interdependencies and developed codependencies with other life forms.
How many permutations develop from assumption; metaphysical fact and conceptualized agreement? I am 1 in 7.5 billion humans at present...hmmm.
I think we have a subconscious social contract that needs definition and draft of a refreshed insight.
Referencing back to "post", I'll choose liberties over freedom. My life is easier and I like the thought of rescue if circumstances get unhealthy.
"Is there, we may ask, any value at all in retaining the revolutionary tradition? Yes, because revolution has a twin. An extreme in the other direction politically -- repression. States tend to become Leviathans and citizen's rights are frequently disregarded. Revolution preserves the tradition of liberty. It is (to quote Camus again) "an essential dimension of man."
The previous Democrat administrations including state governments have created the Leviathan. If the election goes to Biden or is thrown into question due to spurious mail-in ballots the Leviathan will stalk the across the USA.
Will the "silent majority" become sheeple or stand against it?
End quote from the same lecture: "A sign on the November (1969) peace march said it well: "Tyranny always rests on the consent of the silent majority."
They have known the inviolable destination of socialism for decades.
