Anyone that has even a little bit of web knowledge knows that emails, blogs and website exist in the "ether" and are rarely only stored on personal computers but exist for the most part on mirrored servers. "Wayback" much?
Which is why I and many others doubted the veracity of the IRS claims... They also stated that her BlackBerry was destroyed. The BlackBerry back-end retains e-mail messages per its retention policy unless they were willfully deleted.
There is just ZERO credibility with our Dear Leader and his ilk. The term "drain the swamp" comes to mind.
I think they need to start putting pressure on the people that received these e-mails. Let others in the IRS know that if they come forward now and admit they received an e-mail from Lois Lerner targeting conservative groups they will be immune from prosecution. If they don't come forward, when the e-mails are found they may face criminal charges.
I prefer waiting for the emails to surface and then hitting them all with criminal charges for withholding evidence and actively working to intimidate individuals..... why try to give them immunity for committing a crime against US?
No one _wants_ to give them immunity...but we are in a logjam on this, and the prospect of immunity might break that up. It is not really important that we catch the minions...
It may be a back door way to the Lerner e-mails. If we know who received them we can look at their e-mails and get at least some of the conversations. It's telling that no one has stepped forward. An agency full of scum.
