Appeal Court Upholds Lower Court Decision. Shocking! Sets up SCOTUS, who will no doubt refuse to hear it, and let the opinion stand.

I encourage people not to write (an document) weapons they own or aggressive statements. The NSA is the only government agency that listens.

            Even paid an extra $100 for a Protestant chaplain of the funeral home's choice to say nice words to comfort the living.
            By then all the chaplains may be in a reeducation camp, but at least I will have made the effort.

                    I saw an interview with her about whether she would like to run again. She said that she would like a chance to beat Trump again, so she actually believes that she won the presidency.

            You are so right FFA! I see dumb ass questions on Quora all the time:

            "Gun owners, what will you do if the Government passes a law to confiscate assault rifles?"

            Unfortunately, I live in MA, and here, all transactions are voluntarily recorded...by law. They let the AG legislate whatever she wants, until GOAL takes her on and goes to SCOTUS.

            So, don't spew about firearms, at least those that are not registered if you are so lucky. Neither spew about what you will do, since that will be a "Red Flag", without question.

            Interesting that the Listerine Crowd isn't commenting. Maybe it is because Ayn's views are semi-ambiguous, and clearly secondary to speech and the press. Perhaps she has informed the enemy of the most powerful tools, and they listened.

    At this point, the CA Attorney General must make a decision. Does he request an en banc review of this decision hoping to pull more liberal justices who might reverse this 2 - 1 decision of the three judge panel or does he accept this result? If he does ask for an en banc review, there is no guarantee he will pull more liberal justices. Trump has been appointing more conservative justices to the 9th circus and he may not get the en banc review he would like. I doubt he would accept this decision and then ask for Supreme Court review. The Supreme Court has indicated they want a 2nd amendment case to review because they don't think the appellate courts are correctly deciding 2nd amendment cases before them based on the Heller and McDonald Supreme Court decisions. If he does request an en banc review and the case is decided differently, CRPA (CA Rifle and Pistol Assoc) will ask the Supreme Court for review. A decision there will most likely change the way 2nd amendment cases are decided throughout the nation not just in the 9th Circuit. He must make a decision within 14 days. Interesting Dilemma.

    My department had ARs and I had to train new recruits on them. I never had any desire to own one and still don't. My deer rifle and the varmint/target rifle are all I might ever need right out to 300 yards and if a woodchuck doesn't stand a chance neither will an invader. I leave the close up work to my buddies Smith, Wesson and Glock and I know for certain the gun grabbers will never stop until they get them all. Magazine capacity and black guns are just the tip of the iceberg and you can be very sure if we all willingly turned them in they would start on the next offending weapon in our arsenals.
    I wonder how long it will be before they list the second amendment Racist and attack it on that premise. Any citizen who has not had a felony conviction maintains the right to possess weapons. Crunch those numbers!

      There is a BLM move supporting the Second Amendment. If this maintains a role, it seriously undermines racism as an argument against it. Seeing armed minority groups (not gangs) makes me happy. They inevitably support individual firearm rights.

        I am not at all enamored with anything BLM supports. I was merely pointing out a fact. Crunch the numbers, Take any segment of 100 white men 25 years old and match their criminal history to any segment of 100 black/brown men 25 years old and do the math regarding felony convictions.

          Adjust it for income and race washes right out of the statistics. Race and racism are not the problem. Poverty is.

          Continual poverty in enabled and instituted by welfare. Then "culture" and pride turn into a racism argument. Don't act like wearing you pants around your ass is culture. It is just stupid.

          I general I detest BLM (as you may have noted from my "sign" post); however, I endorse second amendment rights for all races, and enjoy black and Asian supporters in particular.

    I am not very optimistic that this ruling will stand. It was made by a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit court of appeals. The full 9th Circuit will almost certainly rehear it, and if they don't SCOTUS may.

      History would tell that SCOTUS will not hear this, unless they believe the 9th Circuit did a massive injustice.

      Perhaps that would inform that the AG will appeal to the entire 9th Circuit. BTW, this is the second ruling in favor of freedom. The first judge wrote a scathing judgement to the AG and CA police.
