The heading is a quote from Joanne Nova. Her site has a thread on the speech by Trump at Mt Rushmore.
On the assumption that there are some Americans on the Gulch who would know the context, and should have already read or heard the speech, I link here for the comments, most I imagine are from Australia but there are many others.
I have no ref. to the text, can anyone give a link?
For those who want to have a go at Trump, there is something in the speech according to my usual unreliable sources- he wrongly attributes to Americans, the first splitting of the atom, and invention of the telephone. If true, this gets a mini downpoint from me, in fact it shows he wrote it himself! (I give -1 +2)

In 1967 a report came out titled "The Report from Iron Mountain".
It was compiled by 15 experts, the Special Study Group (SSG) gathered by the US government. The SSG first met in 1963 at Iron Mountain, a secret underground nuclear hideout to discuss problems that would confront the United States if it entered into a period of permanent peace.
On release, the report was met with consternation, Pres LBJ ordered suppression.
The conclusion was-
Peace was not in the best interest of stable society. War was simply too important a part of the world economy, and therefore it was necessary to continue a state of war indefinitely.
Several possible substitutes were mentioned for paying a "blood price" to emulate the economic functions of war:
-blood games,
-reporting alien life-forms and extraterrestrial threats,
-a vast welfare state,
-reintroduction of slavery consistent with modern technology and political processes, and,
-one deemed particularly promising in gaining the attention of the malleable masses - the threat of massive global environmental pollution.
The writer of the hoax fessed up 10 years later. That the report was taken seriously is due not just to the quality of the writing, but the strength of the arguments, well worth reading and not just for a laugh.
It's super powerful... But the left will ruin everything they touch!
