I have a novel idea. Cook at home and bring a box lunch to work. I dont like the idea of delivery since the restaurants arent really up to speed on making sure the order is correct. Once its delivered, it too late. I did pickup at burger king yesterday, and they had no ice for drinks and no burgers cause their broiler went down. But the APP doesnt reflect issues like that.

Great post about a horrible policy. Why do politicians always think government is the answer to our problems. When has that ever proved true. Did this guy do any research? restaurant margins vs delivery app margins. Why does he get to decide? Does he know that many of these drivers are Uber and Lyft and getting no work. Capitalism sets restaurants to compete in the take out market. He should not be involved. What is bothering me more and more is the idea that business could really be behind this. The article notes that he is getting feedback. Is he getting donations/ideas from connected owners or business associations.
