Nice to meet you, Swardell. I presume that is Merritt Island, FL. On that Friday night, I am going to be traveling with my family to my nephew's wedding in St. Augustine. I might be able to meet up Sunday night and bring my wife. The first two AS movies aired in Viera (much closer to me), but AS3 is not listed there.
I don't do Facebook. E-mail Dr. Jim Brenner at jbrenner@fit.edu

It sure seems like there should be a lot more theaters than this. I did not count them but there are only 2 within 100 - 150 miles of me and I live in the 2nd biggest city in Michigan.

Thanks Harmon, I'll keep checking. I really want to see this, but more importantly, I want my family to see it. I know what AND why I believe.

BTW - If Lubbock TX can get, surly Peoria IL. can.

Please keep in mind that there is a bit of method to the madness of booking theaters. Given the history of Parts I and II, we have a good idea of where there's an audience for the movies. We're eager to expand to new areas, but know that there's an upfront cost ... which is why we have various initiatives to determine the demand for the movie in a particular area. In other words, if we know that a certain number of tickets will be sold at a theater, we'll book that theater. But if only a few tickets are sold, it's an expensive proposition for us. Most importantly, I share your interest which is getting family and friends and others to see the movie and be inspired by its powerful message.

Hey! I just noticed ASIII is playing in the Middle of Nowhere, Saudi Arabia. Although I wish it were true, I think it is a mistake ;)

One of the theaters is right on my drive home from work in the Detroit Metro area.
What kind of fun is that? I was hoping to have at least an hour drive to build the anticipation beforehand. At least I'll have a 45-minute drive to get home afterwards to reflect on what I've seen.

I'm sorry you can't suffer enough. Some people! :) Just kidding pal. But you know about ole Mr Murphy don't you? He might have plans for ya too. Flat tires, out of gas and the last station is closed to attend the "Big Premier", or perhaps the always fun "Safety Check point" with traffic backed three miles - and just as you prepare a speech about violating your rights to free movement on a public access, you're asked "Are you a US Citizen?" and "Can you prove it?" :)

Ole Murph is ALWAYS a load of laughs! Don't forget your "Get out of jail free" card. You just never know about karma.....

It's sad that 6 states with the most fans of Rand's philosophy have NO theaters showing AS III.
MT, WY, SD, ND, IA, NE. We have to do better than this!

      Welcome to fly-over country.

It seems that they are concentrating on the big cities this time and ignoring the places where "we" live. I'll have a 300 mile round trip drive if I could physically go. I know I'm not alone in saying I just can't do that.

I'm not sure how many people it takes to get a showing in our area, but if there's a chance, I'd do what I could to get one here. We had +300 clic on the poll they did and if you consider that lots of us will attend this movie more than once......

I saw AS1 and AS2 at least 3 times each, taking groups of family and friends to see it each time I went. With the distance to the nearest theater this time, that's just not going to happen.

This is total BS, no places showing this in Western NY, No Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse??? How is this possible who was in charge here? I love this series of movies but you want me to drive 8 hours to see it? I doubt it! Please have an online release.... Also no showing in Iowa the first state to vote in the Primary each year?? If you were making a statement here how about showing this in places where statements were and are made in this Country.

“Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt?” is not showing in some areas because of low ticket sales in those areas for the previous two movies.

It costs around $1,000 for us to book a theater, and while we would like to show the movie EVERYWHERE we have to be able to recoup our expenses and we would like to make a profit (just call us greedy capitalists)!

If we knew we could sell 100 tickets in your area we would definitely book a theater. If you know of a large group that would be interested in going to the theater opening night and buying 100 tickets just let us know (you can send me a private message) and we’ll book a theater in your area immediately.

Theaters are being added to the list daily so to keep up on all of the latest news regarding Part III, please make sure to sign up for the official Atlas Shrugged Movie newsletter at: http://AtlasShruggedMovie.com/SignUp

I just hope the downtown Seattle theater had a crowd at the Noon showing because there were only 3 people at the 3:10 PM showing. I am sorry I missed reading about how to organize a meet-up.

I can understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. But what is the old adage... "you have to spend money to make money"... I almost wish I was involved in this much sooner and organized this for WNY, but working 70 hours a week and getting this done last minute I can't tell you I could do that. I would tell you though to have a showing on the Elmwood Ave in Buffalo NY, toss up a few fliers at the colleges get some hype going both your series are on netflix. Give a hand full of tickets to local radio stations, and college stations, to give away live for some extra hype and free advertisement. Get some college minded kids into this series and you've probably made your money plus the older blokes like myself that have interest.... How do I know this works? I know because when I went to college lesser movies did the same thing and packed the house... and no it was not that long ago. Not saying you don't do this already in other markets but it works here also. Also you can't ignore the location of Buffalo and its easy access to Canada. Buffalo is an international hub and if Albany can make it, I can't see how Buffalo could not.
