Gives us all time to move to asteroid habitats if we can dethrone the elite and get to work on a productive goal for the first time in at least 106 years.

  She did not get the Nobel Peace Prize to the chagrin of the environmentalist cabal.
  
  On second thought, it would have served one good purpose if she did: her parents could have used the prize money to put her under expert psychiatric care.

Who cares? We won't be around and hopefully we'll have developed a method of destroying asteroids before they hit us. If we stop fighting over stupid crap long enough to do it.
