What is the antecedent of it in this case? If it's illiberalism, authoritarianism, isn't that destroying the "West" in order to save it. The won't call Enlightenment values "the West" because they are valid without regard to geography, but if the West means the Enlightenment, then it's a contradiction that illiberalism can save it.
