Power outage in NYC - Where is John Galt?

Where is John Galt? He has come to my house twice in the last five years as an Able Air repairman in Melbourne, Florida to repair my A/C. This is no joke. When I saw the name on his uniform as "John", I asked him if he had heard the story of John Galt. Then he told me that he is John Galt. The last time I saw him was last October.

I have a friend whose last name is mulligan. He just had a son he named MIdas. How cool is that. I think there a lot of closeted rational people out there who read AS

This is why people along the Gulf Coast of Texas have natural gas operated Generac generators! If the power fails, and mine does regularly, the generator kicks on. My little city is about 150 years old and I think our electric delivery is close to the same age.

The Kern Family was the founders of Generac, and they are doing a lot to change undergraduate engineering education through the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN). I get my funding from them through value-for-value exchange, instead of going to The State Science Institute (i.e. NSF, NIH, etc.).

      Please buy Generac generators!

I grew up in Beaumont and Houston, so I know a lot about the Texas Gulf Coast.

Actually, I read that there was once a Scottish philosopher named John Gault. (I don't know what his philosophy was, however; I think it may have been in the late 17th or early 18th century).
I remember once there was a big power blackout in the 60's. I think it was in New York. I later read a pamphlet by Ayn Rand, entitled "Is
Atlas Shrugging?" and she made reference to the power blackout. She said it was "not exactly parallel to the one in my story,,," (that's a memory quote), but that people had written to her about it.

Of course this is just the beginning.Wait until all the propsed new electric Mustangs and Tesla cars are joined by othe brands and take down the power grids across the country. We do not have the ability to handle the switch. Then remember the switch of the Earth's magnetic poles, past due and starting to move. All sorts of radar, communication and power grids will be affected, and we might as well expect it. In the meantime, expect the UN to continue to lobby for more windmlils and worthless solar panels, as they want us with no dependable source of power.

Cool story...a real John Gult...you should have asked him if he figured out how to make power with no fuel, yet?

Wish I could say the transformer blew in NYC as a result of a coronal hole stream but it was not the case this time...so we are left with the "Venezuela syndrome" as a possible explanation.

Ayn Rand told us to expect such power outages.

This John Galt was not the "John Galt". If he had been a John Galt worthy of AS, then I would have definitely noticed, but the irony of having a John Galt as an A/C repairman was rich.

Laughing...I know he wasn't real but once found that he knew of AS then I would have asked him...maybe he didn't get That far in the book and might have been prompted to finish it.

Unfortunately this "John Galt" (his real name) had been asked about Atlas Shrugged a couple of times before. He knows the story and told me that he started reading the book but quit because it was too depressing.

"He knows the story and told me that he started reading the book but quit because it was too depressing. "

        An honest man.

Yes, it is a depressing characterization of the deep state that we have the "opportunity" to experience live now.
