Alabama’s Stand for Free Speech Sets an Example for the Nation
This is a start toward what a University/College should be like. Remains to be seen if it will work out.
"The proposal forbids so-called free speech zones, instructs university officials to be prepared to issue consequences to students who violate others’ right to listen and be heard, and assigns public university governing boards the task of writing an annual report on free speech-related incidents."

A positive move into the right direction.
Near the end of the article I clicked on the "worst colleges" in blue link and was surprised to read that Alabama A&M University and the University of North Alabama are on a list for the 10 worst colleges for free speech.
I'm almost surprised the University Of Alabama At Birmingham was not on the list, but maybe its specialization for training all sorts of medical doctors in liberal big city Birmingham has little to do with politics.
Alabama A&M and North Alabama are dinky schools compared to the major University of Alabama and its sports rival Auburn.
Me dino would have been surprised to see my old alma mater Troy University on that list.
