Trump vs. Clinton, The Sequel
I don't remember who said it, or the exact quote. But as near as I can recall, it went something like this: "If nominated, I shall not run. If elected, I shall not serve. However, as my first duty in office..."
Shrillary has an op-ed in The Washington Post where she sounds like she's at least kicking the tires on a 2020 presidential run. She has quotes like "My perspective is not just that of a former candidate..." and " I am also a former senator and secretary of state..." and "I am also someone who, by a strange twist of fate, was a young staff attorney on the House Judiciary Committee’s Watergate impeachment inquiry in 1974, as well as first lady during the impeachment process that began in 1998. And I was a senator for New York after 9/11, when Congress had to respond to an attack on our country..."
To me, it sounds like she's trying to convince the Dumbocrats that she has the experience to be their candidate, and if they want her to run, then she'll humbly bow to their wishes and try to take her rightful place in the Oval Office, a seat that she still can't believe she's not sitting in right now.
Part of me wants this to happen, and wants to see Trump kick her ass again.
But part of me is terrified this will happen, and enough idiots in this country actually vote for her to give her the presidency.
Do you, or do you not, think that she's vying for entry into the race to be the D candidate?
And if it is Trump vs. Clinton Round 2, do you think Trump will be a two-term president, or do you think he'll get unseated?

Or does this sage drag into a trilogy?
Maybe it will drag on several seasons and end all up in the air like the last HBO The Sopranos series with The Clintons eating in a restaurant. Barr will walk by the table giving culpable couple a hard look. Then The Evil Hag and her Slick Willie will smile at one another, continue to eat and all will fade to black for the credits to roll.
As far as Hillary running, I think she is trying to positin herself to be "Drafted" at the convention. She is assuming that nne of the two dozen or so current candidates will get to the majic number on the first ballot. She can then come in and save the day. I really think Trum would have a better chance of being drafted by the Dems than Hillary.
There was a feeler sent up about 2 months ago by some Clinton acolytes trying very hard to prove she would be a "totally different candidate".
It landed flat and was no followup.
BTW, if I were Clinton, I would not bring up "I was a young staff attorney on the House Judiciary Committee’s Watergate impeachment inquiry in 1974, as well as first lady during the impeachment process that began in 1998."
Both had disastrous consequences.
She was fired after Watergate for unethical conduct and Bill was impeached. Events, hardly to be proud of.
