Update - Court Rules in Favor of Engineer Fined for Speaking as an Engineer Outside His Area of Practice

This is an update on a story two years ago in which the engineering board in Oregon fined an engineer for speaking outside his area of practice. The court ruled in favor of his right to describe himself as an "engineer". I'm glad it ruled in his favor.

In my comment on the original article, I said engineers are lousy at requiring licensure. I did not mean requiring licensure is a good thing. It's often a form rent seeking.
