Since when does the sun affect climate?

Whenever I mention that the sun's activity has more to do with climate than global warming, I get nothing but criticism. Maybe I AM right about it.

    People, cultures and science has long forgotten the cycles of nature. The current perversions are a blend or postmodernism, cultural marxism, (the main driver to allow the worst, the most corrupt and extremely stupid to gain and remain in power) and shear environ[mental] mysticism.

      Much harder to believe these people when the climate changer cult actively excludes individuals that would pollute the purity of their party. Also science is NEVER done against the scientific method nor by any means necessary.

        Yes. And as a somewhat lengthy aside, it is particularly interesting when the word "polarize" and its derivatives thereof are spoken from voices on the left.

        Polarization is required before the resolution of conflict between opposites through an appeal to violent force can take place. "The resolution [...] to violent force" is nothing but an explicit reification of the implicit principle of cultural marxism i.e. of dialectical materialism i.e. marxism.

        Because marxism requires polarization preceding the cultural shift it prescribes, there must be a confirmation bias among leftist camps who depend on polarization for any reification of marxism.

        The error is, of course, the error of confirmation bias. That should explain how Leonardo DiCaprio and others can complete multi-municipal tours to promote climate change control measures using private jet aircraft. Ha!

    I am a physics student, a former member of my universities physics student society, my fiancee was the president of the club one year, and an executive a year before that. I was still on the Facebook group page until a week or so ago. I shared a lecture by Doctor Willie Soon, an astrophysicist that has evidence that cosmic rays and the sun are the main contributors to climate change. Note: our university physics building has a cosmic ray dectector in the lobby that anyone can watch collect data. By sharing this science lecture to what is a lot of astrophysics executives, I was removed as a member than blocked. This happened after a former pss member and former grad student wrote "we shouldn't give Willie Soon a platform". I asked "why? Willie Soon is a great scientists". Deleted, removed, blocked. I keep going into the pss lounge and writing on a white board (that I bought) "Cosmic rays cause climate change".

    I must say how much I love Galt's Gulch and its participants. What a breath of fresh air, and I've been a participant for several years now. The Climate Change hoax never ceases to amaze me. I am surrounded by politically correct zombies, and the Gulch remains an island of sanity.

      I have learned a great deal from this forum.
      The climate change brainwashing is a non stop effort to pit man’s production against the Earth as if the Earth is more important than man.
      Earthfirst is the message. In a way it can take some blame for the fires in Ca. No tree cutting, no culling, I wonder how the spotted owl fares against a raging inferno?

    It turns out that the "Man-made" climate change cabal are the real "Flat-worlders" that also probably believe in other myths and fairy tales as well. It is a shame that what passes for education now a days is pretty much focused on political mumbo jumbo and that pure science is being left at the station.

    Empiricism and the scientific method are now practically heresy to this new "Flat World" religion. You know, throw out the data that doesn't support your hypothesis and spend all of your time trying to justify your "science". This is not science but rather a return to the period of time that brought us the "Inquisition". Speak the Truth and be burned at the stake!

    Goes to show that history does repeat itself (here the new Inquisition is being implemented with a gusto!.......For those who care, use the old Newspaper admonition: "Follow the money" and the Truth about Global warming will be readily revealed to those who wish the Truth.

    I consider the climate change/global warming cult to be on a par with "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" chicken little story.
    Only much more dangerous for rational thinking humans as it seeks to contol the occupants of the planet for power over same.
    Nothing to do with actually the much ballyhooed "end of the world" scenario caused by man.

      Yes it is. My original post was meant to be sarcastic. I've been waiting to observe sunspots with my 3" scope with a Thousand Oaks White Light filter and there have been no sunspots for a very long time.

        Can you see coronal holes with your scope.?
        The interaction between the suns magnetosphere and The Earth ‘s weakened magnetosphere allows for more cosmic rays to enter the atmosphere .Studies show those cosmic rays can increase cloud cover.
        During Grand Solar Minimums in the past very large Volcanos have erupted as well as an overall increase in Volcanic activity.

    But global warming activates so many more people so the UN can control them. No matter it is a hoax, as long as people believe it. They would get no followers if they said well, the sun is actually in a cooling cycle, or sun spot activity is on a break, as it is beyone controlling, it is life! The idioits in Calif. try sending up crushed clay and water to block the sun's rays, to cool them off, real bright. This is what we have to deal with.
