Just as a quick aside, allow me to relate a quick item concerning US policy and business.
I use these chips called C.P.L.D. (complex programmable logic devices) and F.P.G.A's( field programmable gate arrays) . Once programmed they can be used to replace many, many discrete components.
As that is what you would need to miniaturize ,say for example, a missile guidance system, I cannot export them without a permit because of the International Treaty on Arms Reduction.
The funny thing is the chips are all made in Asia anyway even if they come from American companies.
Who does that regulation hurt most? Business or rogue nations? (hint) Guess which abides by the rules.
Indeed. Just as the lawbreaker is not concerned with more laws such as gun free zones... I too create products that require non-disclosure and must be made in the U.S.A. for the military so as to avoid giving away critical technological designs.
The U.S. is like superman, but Obama is kryptonite... we are powerless...
Respectfully,
O.A.
