The poster child for border control, strict immigration law, and why Kalifornia should not issue anything but bus tickets.

My yard guy (actually he's more than that). He fixes all sorts of things. Like my John Deer mower. Came here as an immigrant, enlisted in the U S Army for four years, served in the Korean Conflict and made his home here. If any of his relatives want to come here, he told them to do what he did! No free lunch. He loves our country. He has two beautiful daughters (who are single) and is a good father and friend. He works at my place and at a B&B. nwb

Too bad for this Mexican that he could not honestly secure US citizenship.
Then he could have played the $y$tem for all its worth like too many real Americans do?
Real Americans? Not really but technically, yeah, unfortunately.
Me dino refers to moochers and looters who can legally vote for Jackass Party politicians.

Nick, a friend of mine owned a 4800 acre ranch in south Texas. He put out water (in containers), canned foods and a can opener, for any visitors from across the border who overnighted at his creek. I thought that was a very nice gesture. Unfortunately he died and we sold the ranch and I hope the new owner is doing the same. nwb

We worked a ranch in the Hueco mountains in W. Texas, 52 sections of land. We rode fence and saw many folks that made the walk through some real rough country to get to the main road and try to catch a greyhound out of state. We allowed them to fill water bags from a outdoor pump, then they moved on, one night the dogs went off and we found a couple of them in the house going through the fridge, last time we saw them, they were running for the BP checkpoint on the main road with rounds overhead to let them know the basic hospitality was rescinded. If we found them in the back country, we would give them water, then point them away from the main compound.

That is nice, and humane, but it is also a clone of feeding the rats, skunks and raccoons outside your house, they come in and move in.Sorry I am not so humane, but I donot entertain the woods creatures, they have their land and I have mine, so my Aussie guards at night and she trees the coons, but usually gets shot by the skunks. No rats ever been found.

Also, I have to add, my family came to this country in the 1600's and settled in Virginia. My gggrandfather got a Mexican land grant in the 1830's and we still own that land. He had to become a Mexican citizen to do that (mere technicality). So my family are Texans for 185 years or nine generations. Texans tend to feel differently than you do. Don't be so judgemental, my friend. nwb

Andy, it makes me sad to hear your statement. I am 1/4 American Indian. Daddy was a half-breed. My beautiful grandmother was full blood. I have a Mexican son-in-law who is an executive for a Fortune 500 company. He is a good husband to my daughter, a great father and a good friend. I have little half Mexican grandchildren. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater, Andy. Best wishes, NWB

I try to avoid such blanket statements, simply because each is an individual, meriting individual consideration. Some nice, good people (even illegals), but the minute they come in illegally, all bets are off. Just like anyone walking in my house. Not prejudice, just fact.
