Isn't it great to have the respect of the world under our Dear Leader, The One, Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm)?
"We want to pass on a country that's safe and respected and admired around the world, a nation that is defended by the strongest military on earth and the best troops this -- this world has ever known."
How's that workin' out for us?
How's that workin' out for us?
My second thought is we have elected the Manchurian candidate. You can either imagine this guy is so inept at what he does that all of this apologizing, dithering, and leading from behind are unintended consequences of an idealog not up to the job, or you could conclude all is just as he planned, he really is a genius.
The beauty of the American system is there is just so much damage the executive can do before he is replaced. BTW, when I was young "leading from behind" was commonly called following!
Cheers
It isn't just testosterone that cows international bullies, as Maggie Thatcher and Golda Meir had their enemies shaking in their boots. Elected heads of state, whether you regard them as leaders or not, should be the persona that present the image of the people they serve. Thatcher and Meir, and Netanyahu today, present an image of strength, determination, and strong purpose. Obama, with his waffling, indecisiveness, and destructive, divisive actions, represents only himself.
"The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment - this was the time - when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America."
After almost 6 years of our Dear Leader, none of those sentences have stood the test of time.

If anything, this Kremlin tweet reaffirms the accuracy of an observation Obama made a few weeks ago about "looking tough is Putin’s schtick.” But, we knew this, right?
Jan
Can we please swap with Russia? I would take Putin over this little girl any day.
Hold still.
There, better?
Now, why do YOU think holding a poodle is unmanly?
Ahhh, you're too much.
Thanks! I needed a good laugh.
