"… For the most part, nobody in the city needs a shotgun; nobody needs a rifle, and I don’t know a lot of people who are into hunting who — being lifelong residents — would actually want that who lives in the city, but, especially here in the city I want to have discretion over who’s getting any type of gun, because public safety is my main concern and, as you know, it’s an uphill battle taking as many guns off the street right now without pumping more into the system."

The key to the evil of the Marxists is patience. If they cannot take away all rights this day, then they'll wait until tomorrow, Then they work very hard to insure that any rights taken away are never given back. They succeed inch-by-inch.

"Thus the State 'turns every contingency into a resource' for accumulating power in itself, always at the expense of social power; and with this it develops a habit of acquiescence in the people. New generations appear , each temperamentally adjusted - or as I believe our American glossary now has it, 'conditioned' - to new increments of State power, and they tend to take the process of continuous accumulation as quite in order. All the State's institutional voices unite in confirming this tendency; they unite in exhibiting the progressive conversion of social power into State power as something not quite I order , but even as wholesome and necessary for public good."

When I read that from Knock's "Our Enemy, the State" these words jumped off the page shouting. And it can be seen daily across this nation in news line after news line. Incredible stuff.

But hey it's Saturday let's uncorked some champagne and enjoy the moment.

Thanks this the first I've heard of his book. I'll take a look at it. BTW its too late for us to get drunk if we are ever going to reclaim our birthright from the Marxists.

He doesn't even realize how absurd it sounds. _He's the good guys, and the good guys should have discretion and control over what people do. He would use the discretion responsibly._ that's how we slip into rule by people instead of rule of law.

    What you want is irrelevant.
You do not have the authority to infringe upon the right of the People to keep and bear arms.

    Period.
