They say Civilization Follows the Sun

I read once that some people believe that "Civilization" is a force that is somehow constantly moving west, leaving only corruption behind it. The last great migration of civilization westward was to, and then within the US. About 100 years ago some people assumed that Japan, or perhaps China was the next westward destination of modern, dominant, and most importantly FREE people. Could this now refer to ... Russia?

- 1Posted by khalling 11 years, 11 months agoI do not buy that civilization moves to some pre-destined path. I acknowledge their seems to be a correlation. People will go where their freedom is protected and they have economic opportunity. It is the best, brightest and most adventuress that go.
