Gentlemen:
I’m a 68 year old, Vietnam Vet & retired 3M Executive. I am on the verge of leaving the Grand Old Party. No big deal for you – huge deal for me. I have come nearly to the end of my loyalty to a party that seems to have lost its backbone. The lack of leadership displayed by the two of you – for whatever reason you’ve have decided to not support or defend the duly elected President of the United States is beyond me.
Yes, President Trump is not the typical political bureaucrat; but he is the President of the United States. It appears from where I sit you both have decided to lay down on the job you’ve been elected to serve. The 60 Million + people that voted this President into office made this decision based upon the absolute requirement to have someone outside the beltway to lead the nation.
As distasteful as this appears to be for not only the Democrats; it appears to be equally distasteful to the GOP leadership. Your lack of action on numerous legislative issues that this country desperately needs is visible to all. The electoral map of the U. S. is RED because President Trump mobilized the electorate. These same voters are going to clean house again in 2018 if you don’t start acting like leaders.
Former Arizona state lawmaker Kelli Ward is out in front against Senator Jeff Flake by 25 percentage points today. Can you say – “We are tired of GOP leaders in Washington D. C.?” This is only going to increase across the U. S. for all GOP mid-term candidates if they continue to demonstrate no backbone & won’t support our President.
My best description of where this country is headed was voiced by David Horowitz.
“Friends, this isn’t George Orwell’s “1984.” It is America, 2017.”
When I look at the current GOP I’m struck by a comparison that I recently heard. This is a basketball example that really does reflect what the GOP appears to be today. The metaphor is the Harlem Globetrotters & the Washington Generals. The Democrats are the Globetrotters and the GOP are proud to be the Washington Generals. The Generals know going into the game that they are going to lose, but it’s a nice gig & they get to be on the court with the big boys. The GOP & The Washington Generals don’t mind losing – they just want to be in the game! Sound familiar? That is exactly how it appears to the loyal GOP voters out here in America right now.
Why is zero legislation moving forward? We have the Presidency, we have the House, we have the Senate ! What’s wrong with this picture. We are wasting valuable time here Senator McConnell & Representative Ryan. The voters are not going to waste time in 2018. This is the last chance for the GOP before it morphs into something none of us recognize.
By the way, when are you going to support the laws on the books? Sanctuary Cities, Antifa, tearing down statues, covering statues, the progressives are running wild and the GOP is laying down. Remember freedom of speech? UC Berkeley? The progressives are worried about what shoes the first lady is wearing, and the media is supporting it. What a wonderful world we are living in.
Well there you have it –
President Trump & Vice President Pence are being copied on this plea for help. Hitch up your pants and stiffen your backbones. It’s about time ! I know what’s coming because I live in a state that has already gone off the cliff – CALIFORNIA. The Progressive have already won here!! I mean the Globetrotters.
I have an extensive cc: list of over 1,500 people. I'm asking them to send this note to 10 of their Conservative Friends. We the people, will not sit still while this country is being abused and our values are not being represented. The Left will not take this country away from us.
Respectfully,

Thanks
Our goal now is 3 Fold:
1) Do NOT Support GOP/RNC in the primaries
2) Primary EVERY non-Trump Supporter (it is already happening). Give to them, help them.
3) Send a STRONG message to BOTH the GOP and the Dems that we were NOT JOKING when we elected President Trump.
It is currently a Republican that is preventing Trump from getting his appointees through, and the other Republicans are okay with this.
But we all have to have THE SAME PLAN. If we continue to support the GOP/RNC then nothing will change.
FreedomWorks is getting this message out as well. Primary EVERY Non-Trumper. Support the best Trump Supporters we can find.
It takes far fewer votes to win an OFF YEAR election!!! And VERY FEW to win a PRIMARY!
But they won't go down easy. We should work as hard as POTUS is working...
Don't make it about Trump as that is just as likely to backfire as it is succeed. Make it about principles and you can't go wrong.
The best way, for now, is to make a clear delineation of who we will NOT support, and who we want to support. JUST to clean out the trash.
Not supporting Trump is a Symptom of the bigger problem: Catering to Lobbyists over the will of the voters.
Again, you are making a valid point. But 2018 needs to see a LOT of GOP changed out, even at the risk of losing the seats. (Because they are going to use the scare tactic that we will lose the seat if we don't keep the name brand).
I refuse to support "Trump". I learned my lesson after the Bushes. Trump is just as fallible as the next person. What I support are specific policies based on fundamental principles such as lower taxes, less regulation, smaller government, etc. I will support any politician's efforts (not to be confused with the people themselves) towards those goals be they Republican, Democrat or Independent. What I refuse to do is get caught up in a cult of personality that attributes superhuman decision-making to human beings - especially politicians.
They are EITHER influenced by LOBBYISTS or GREED, or they are not.
And I believe Trump is not making decisions based on EITHER of these factors.
Ryan is changing sides right now? Why? $$$
When they say it takes time to make the laws, do you REALIZE it is because they are BIDDING the writing of portions of the law to certain Lobbyists. Again $$$. It is not that it takes time to make the law right or the right law (to a degree it does).
We are now in a world where the ONLY thing a senator or congressman must do is CALL LOBBYISTS and get DONATIONS. And to the degree you are good at that, you get better Committee Positions.
I testified in the Federal Voter Case against Brenda Snipes in Broward. I have 2 goals. Cleanup the voting issues. AND Get the money out of politics.
The first is in motion. And I will either do the second, or I will die trying!
Because as long as our elected officials are LITERALLY beholden to a DONOR class of $$$ we will NEVER EVER get our country back.
Thanks Mr Wahlert.
with that said...the dems and repubs are and have been different sides of the same counterfeit coin...
I am mostly retired now, but I was an airline pilot most of my life...flew people all over the world...including the "B" teams of the Harlem Globetrotters and the Wash. Generals...stayed in the same hotel...got to observe and talk to them in the hotel bar...the women would line up in every country wanting to spend a few hours upstairs with the individuals team members and the fans would pack the stadium at night...it was enough to exhaust any male...in every country and town it was the same...do the women ...and take the public's money...what a scamb...if you haven't read "The Creature from Jekyll Island" about the history of the Federal Reserv, I highly recommend it...
