They are preparing for the election. Obama met with the Hispanic Caucus and practically promised them amnesty in the fall. Biden met with the NAACP and told them to spread the word that Republicans were trying to keep blacks from voting with draconian laws. The Senate is focusing on women. Meanwhile, before and after and in-between Obama is fundraising. They are out there ginning up the base. They are not being distracted. They really can’t afford to this election.. Ding-ding-ding: only so many days left before the election!
Every party gets slammed by its opposition when it comes to travel expenses. It is a distraction that isn’t going to dent their efforts.
