The LP's very first Vice-Presidential candidate was...
Tonie Nathan.
In fact, she was the first female in history to appear on any White House ticket, and the first to get an electoral vote.
When I was in New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project, there were tons of women there.
Around the country, the LP has had many, many women running for local office.
Methinks the blogger you've linked is only seeing the stuff happening in his own neighborhood.
