While it didn't say what caliber firearm the doc was using, if it were a .40 cal, perhaps if the DHS hadn't bought up all the hollowpoints for "training" (BIG FAT LIE), perhaps the perp would've gone 6 feet under.

Actually since it was reported by CBS, it already has gotten MSM press. I heard about it on Fox as well.

  It was reported by a local affiliate of CBS, and Fox does report this sort of thing. I should have clarified; I meant the national, non-Fox, networks and newspapers like the NY Times, Washington Post, and LA Times, which seem to report most accidental gun deaths.

    CBS in Philadelphia. I used to watch that station back in the late 1970's and early 80's - the Rocky era.
