So how is the college stuff going? I was thinking of you when I signed my son up for the PSAT's.
He's in for a rude awakening...
The post 9-11 GI Bill is quite generous and it much better than the Montgomery GI Bill I had. Ready? $60k max tuition. $1300 month cost of living offset and $1k per year for books. Being retired USAF, I can assist in avoiding my son getting screwed over by a over zealous recruiter whose being pressured to put people in career fields they don't want to go in. =)
Knowing the Functional Manager for a given Air Force Specialty Code really helps too. :) Good luck for your son's PSAT. Yes, reality will soon be smacking him around, just like mine is.
That is really good you know the ropes, and can help him navigate through some of the bs minefields. Hang in there! :-)
Got Air Conditioning? Hey, it's the Air Force. :)
Besides, I'll sleep better knowing he's either working in a Data Center or hanging out in the dormitories and NOT hanging out on the railroad tracks. See my comments about the railroad couple.
