I find this ironic in more ways than one.

"Thanks to a little-noticed auction sale, a South Bay couple are the proud owners of one of the most exclusive streets in San Francisco — and they’re looking for ways to make their purchase pay."

    So...somebody sold hypocrite heaven.
Hilarious!I Hope they turn it into a tourist attraction, where people in cars pay $5 to drive endlessly around the oval.

From the article: "And if the Presidio Terrace residents aren’t interested in paying for parking privileges, perhaps some of their neighbors outside the gates — in a city where parking is at a premium — would be."

If I lived in the area, I would be willing to pay for a spot to park my 1998 Chevy. :-)

If it was me, I would have that guard at the gate start collecting a toll to pay for the upkeep and maintenance.

They probably hate the idea, but I'm pretty sure the residents are still paying for upkeep and maintenance through their association fees. If they refuse to pay, their property values and quality of life will take a hit.

why can't they be grandfathered since they have been living their so long. of course there must be a trao door in one of the old restaurants along the waterfront where people get shanghaied.
