A little about me? Here is the nutshell version:
I'm 44, married 24 years, and believe it or not, we just had our first child in June of last year!

My wife and I own a small S-Corp we started in 1999, which we developed into three separate and very successful businesses.

Everyone knows what happened in 2008. It was the beginning of a downward slide. After two years of working toward our own destruction, we had reduced our income to nearly nothing, then discovered we were pregnant.

I will skip all the ugly stuff and fast-forward to the present. Two of the three businesses are gone, and I am an employee working in maintenance at a large industrial facility. I still work like a dog, but now I get a nice check every week, and I'm happy.
Last month, my corporation was officially dissolved by the state, and it felt good. I have one business remaining, and it's manageable - so far.

It's nice to slip out of the limelight and the public eye into the shadow of obscurity. Really nice.
