I'm Harmon Kaslow, Producer of the Atlas Shrugged movies. I've produced quite a few movies over the years but am most proud of course to be involved with Atlas Shrugged. I'll be returning here at around 2PM ET this afternoon, for about an hour, to answer your questions and read your comments. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

EDIT #1: Hi ... as you know, we're having a very busy week. In addition to the http://www.KickstartAtlas.com campaign, which is running well, we're working on getting the screenplay finished, locking down shooting locations, identifying department heads, and figuring out a shooting schedule ... but it's great to be here ... and I look forward to answering your questions.

Thank you for doing this AMA! Regarding the length of the film, do you see room to increase the length of the film, or has the general response been that the lengths of the first two parts were optimal?

Will the first meeting of Ragnar and Reardon be depicted? While I do see it as one of those parts that hold a bit less impact than some, the story of Ragnar's quest has to be read in somewhere and with the only two places where it is offered in the book is that meeting and the meeting of Dagny and Ragnar in Gult's home, it seems required.

That scene is from Part II, and IMO was regrettably left out of the movie. I'm sure the producers considered it, but time constraints didn't allow for it. Let's face it, most of the viewing public have never read AS, so the scene would have meant nothing to them. I remember the scene from AS1, where Dagny threw the glass of wine in Francisco's face. If you hadn't read the book, the natural reaction would have been "where the heck did that come from?"

The most extraordinary book of the 20th Century needed to be made into a film, and we are all very grateful you took it on. Assuredly it will repay you in the long run. I understand fully the need to get it into just 3 parts. How many episodes are you planning for the extended TV mini-series to come?
