While I think it should be an individual's choice there should be very stiff penalties for things done to others while under the influence of any drug. That said, I think there are too many dull minds in this country already - we've all seen what that can accOmplish. Tim Leary didn't say "tune in, turn on, and drop out" for no reason. Lib-dems don't need help.

The war on drugs has been a waste of time and money. It should not be a federal matter. Why should I pay tax dollars to incarcerate a user and then probably support family members who lose a breadwinner to prison for self abuse? If someone causes harm to others whether intoxicated by drugs or alcohol (also a drug!) or stone cold sober, they should be prosecuted for the harm.

It's complex, while I don't think Government needs to have a 'war' on drugs, I don't want to have my kids around it until they are old enough to make the decision themselves.

I don’t smoke weed but any elimination of federal government intervention that is not mentioned in the constitution I am for. I’d be fine with legalizing all drugs, let the cards fall where they may. Live and let live. Supply meets demand everyday anyway so it’s a waste of money. The taxes collected can pay for the rehabs they will end up in. The savings from the elimination of DEA can go toward border security.
