- 7Posted by freedomforall 7 years, 7 months agoAnd no mention of restitution to the people she stole from. That's justice in America. Catch a thief who took advantage of her position of trust in government by stealing from constituents and honest people. Then the punishment is fines that enrich government, jail time that costs taxpayers more money, and not a damn dime for the people who were robbed by this looting, parasitic leech.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 4Posted by NealS 7 years, 7 months agoPerhaps we should borrow some laws for thieves from Sharia Law? In any case, we may need more laws about restitution especially for public officials and government employees. And first we have to get some laws that makes them non-exempt from all our other laws.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
- 2Posted by strugatsky 7 years, 7 months agoOf course not; you wouldn't want to set a bad precedent, would you? If the politicians had to pay restitution for their thefts, who would want to be a politician?Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|

- 1Posted by bassboat 7 years, 7 months agoDon't fall for the idea that this woman and her conviction are limited to the dems. The republicans are sorry too. Term limits are the only thing that I can see and they should be short, not long terms in DC. Drain the Swamp.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by $ TomB666 7 years, 7 months agoHere in IL, Jesse Jackson Jr. has been convicted of fraud, embezzlement, etc. This was so traumatic the state now pays him over 124,000 in disability per year. Does anyone still wonder why IL is broke - oh that's right, it has a Republican governor! http://www.bnd.com/news/local/article...Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
