Profile of Bud Brigham, Atlas film investor

It was such a great honor for me to work on the Atlas Shrugged trilogy, and I will always consider Producer John Aglialoro, his wife Joan, and the entire Atlas Shrugged film team, a part of my extended family. So, seeing one of our own, like Bud Brigham, succeeding as a real life Ellis Wyatt, fills me with great admiration and pride.

Ayn Rand's ideas have influenced so many, and I hope that our new President takes some time soon to familiarize himself with the true essence of unfettered Laissez-Faire Capitalism - in theory, and more importantly, in practice - as free trade is essential to liberty and the American ideal Ayn Rand so admired and defended so well. Make America great--the right way.

Hear, hear! Well said David. And, it was an honor for all of us to work with you on the films.

    Bud's a total beast.

Heard some news from John recently on the series. Talk soon.

Thanks everyone for sharing. Working on the films will always be one of the highlights of my life. I have especially good memories of being on the set for the filming of the Taggart wedding scene in Part 2, where I talked to Bud Brigham.

Great article - thanks for sharing David.

I too feel honored to have gotten the opportunity to work on the trilogy. It was the experience of a lifetime.

You and Bud Brigham helped to turn this old American dinosaur into an Ayn Rand admirer.
Up until then I was a Rush Limbaugh fan in complete ignorance of Rand, her philosophy and literary works.
That's also all about how how I found my way to The Gulch.
      Thank you for all that.

Additionally, Bud is a true patriot ... and a man of honor and integrity and supporter of liberty. Two of the many pleasures of producing the trilogy was spending time with Bud and his wife ... and learning so much from David, too.

"He gets up from his chair and fetches a framed article about his fight against federal prosectors who in 2011 sued seven North Dakota oil drillers for killing 28 migratory birds that ended up dead near ponds holding waste water from drilling. The government threatened Brigham, as CEO, with a year in prison, 6 months for each of the birds found in his ponds. The oilmen refused to settle with the EPA and fought the charges. A judge threw out the case a year later."
Wind turbines kill 100s of thousands of birds, including protected birds annually. The EPA is evil.

As to our new President, I don't believe that there's any chance whatsoever that he will ever embrace Laissez-Faire Capitalism, nor that he will ever be influenced by philosophy. Unfortunately, his most redeeming feature is that he is not Hillary.
