she was obviously educated if that is the word in a government school and has yet to figure out what to do with her life. I believe in a word she is an idiot.

When you expect the taxpayer to pay for your birth control and abortions, there will be strings attached. It is ludicrous to expect "society", ie: everybody else, to pay for the consequences of one's genital activities, whether male or female. This silly bill doesn't bring to light the real issue, which is "Should the state, ie: taxpayers, sponsor abortions and other birth control?"

And they wonder why the suicide rate is going up. Now I understand a little more why all the political cartoons and the nasty comments that people attach. Going to your link I even thought of a comment on her picture. They should sell copies of her picture as "Fine Protection". Just hang it on your wall, or in your bathroom.

Maybe this is a joke, or some ploy to get people to take really notice and start yelling, "Get Out of My Life". More of us could relate to this than to "Black Lives Matter", "Fair Share", etc..

Obviously, you do not understand Rep. Farrar's intent here. Equally ridiculous and demeaning laws already restrict women. Her bill was intended to highlight the oppression that women live under here in Texas. Like taxes or whatever else, they make the best of a bad situation, but the bad situation is still a reality.

This must be a joke. If not: a big step towards the complete loss of liberty. For the government to monitor people regarding the proposed legislation would be crazy. Illogical. Does not compute.

Boy, the brain only come up with some wild things...Masturbation is not even close to being the same thing as abortion...one is "Just" sperm and the other is already a human life.

Was this the same creature that said that insurance should cover pregnancy counseling for gay men?.?.?.?

This guy was born in the wrong century. This bill might go over in say, 1910, but today? No wait, you know, I might be wrong. This bill couldn't pass at any time even with modern technology spying in everyone's home.

You missed the point. As much as I like living in Texas, it was not the legislature that drew me here. politically, Texas is a fascist state. Understand that: fascism is just liberalism with an iron fist. We do have a mix of political views in the government. I benefit from living in Austin, a blue city in a red state, where gun rights and gay rights co-exist.

      That said ...

Gov. Perry and the legislature floated a $3 billion bond for cancer research that became a scandal when the money flowed first to the wife of the man who chaired the committee in charge of the money. ... And that does not begin to address fundamental problems with government-funded "cancer research." ...

Just changed recently, the legislature made it illegal to buy a car directly from the manufacturer. Why? Because the automobile dealers association did not like the way Tesla sells cars. They wanted people to be forced by law to buy from dealers.

It is still illegal to buy beer and wine before noon on Sunday, or to buy "hard liquor" at all on Sunday.

Those car dealers? It is still illegal in Texas for a car dealer to be open both Sunday and Saturday: they must be closed one Sabbath day a week.

Then, there are the issues at hand, the laws that prevent women from getting healthcare.

Rep. Farrar introduced her bill and speaks to it in order to bring into sharp relief the ways that the majority men in the government degrade and demean women while affording themselves all the privileges of their own gender.

A lot of examples that have nothing to do with the proposed bill. Liquor stores , Car Dealers and Crony cancer frauds not on topic. Majority of men in the govt degrade and demean women while affording themselves all the privileges of their own gender. Opinion or fact .

It is a matter of principles, of fundamental premises. Basically, the problem comes down to altruism and mysticism. Those are just some of the many examples of which the legal prohibition against reproductive health care for women is another example.

I apologize for laughing at absurdity, but I read somewhere that laughing is better for one's health than crying over things indeed cryable if I may make up a new word.
Oh, suffering succotash! Just URL looked it up. "Cryable" is in the dictionary.
A walking talking error, that's me. Dinos do tend to make a general mess of things. Oh, me! Oh, my! Maybe I should go have a good cry.

I was aware of some of the dynamic you've expressed when I lived in Lubbock in the mid-eighties. Whomever has been "dinging" you down does not understand the subjective religious forces and resultant legislations that ensue. I appreciate the last paragraph expressed.
