I live in Utah. We have weathered the economic storm rather well here overall. Our last three governors have all taken credit for it.
I disagree, and anyone who thinks they did it should read Larry H. Millers autobiography "Driven". While Miller was not the only business creator who has had an impact on jobs in Utah the book illustrates some of his struggles with government; city county and state. He pushed through the roadblocks they put up for him and if he would not have Utah would likely not have the Miller groups 6 billion a year in business running through it.
I have wondered how many others with the business sense to be successful have basically said "To hell with this" and walked away when the government opposition faced them. How many jobs and production walked away with them. How much improvement to the human existence have we lost because their good ideas walked away with them?
