Government mandated "Immunity from “Fear” — and Criticism"

The Canadian parliament is currently discussing Motion 103. This motion, if passed, would require the government torecognize the need to “quell the increasing public climate of hate and fear” and “condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination.”

The motion was placed by a female Pakistani-Canadian Liberal MP, Iqra Khalid, who immigrated to Canada in 1998.

This sounds like where Hillary was headed when she promised she would make discussion of global arming a crime, and would end political dissent on the Internet!
You cannot promise freedom from fear and criticism, without enslaving the multitude. They then would fear and be criticized by government. They are not protecting Christians, who seem to be more and more seen as the enemy.
This is what Obama has wrought with his interference in Canadian politics. This is where he would have taken us.

If she wants all this Islamic stuff so much...why the hell did she move to a majority Christian country??? The answer of course is that back home is a 12th century hell hole...but she is going to end up with the same thing in Canada when her people take over. On the other hand, she could know full well that this will happen and she is merely a 5th columnist!

Canada has already banned too much speech by creating its Orwellian-named "Human Rights Commission", which has the power to fine people for hate speech, including for criticizing the commission itself.

My prediction is that most Canadians will continue discussing whatever they want, even if it has to be in forums outside Canada. But this motion very well could make it impossible to discuss things like the jihadist threat within Canada's political organs -- which means they are doomed to go through the same things Sweden and Germany are now suffering at the hands of barbarians.

The day the US enacts a similar law will be the day I wipe my ass with its flag.

Well if that women get's her way we'll just have to invade Canada. Are they so uneducated up there to what Islam really is? Islam is not a religion and it is a cultural aberration. It's a theocratic way of life religion and government rolled up in one! Mohammad is no more a prophet than Saul of Tarsus. The Canadian Parliament is sounding like the Dimm's here.

I'm not sure what the gov't can do about fear. It's up to citizens to be brave. Condemning bigotry is just a gesture, but it's one I support categorically because just saying the truth aloud undermines religious extremists' narratives.
