I replied because the question was posted by someone obviously who had not rely read the book or had read an abridged version; maby simply doen't get it. Of course by the end of the timeline in the story there was every trade and skill necessary to build a thriving comunity. From the kid sweeping the flor to learn a buisness.
I didn't participate in that post either. I didn't see that the question had any relevance. The word "Utopians" stuck out and I automatically rejected the premises of the post - clearly Hiraghm is way off target. Some of the comments, on the other hand, had merit.
It wouldn't have seemed very welcoming if I'd said: Welcome franklyspeaking! "Who built the roads houses and the like at the Gulch?" is a dead end question.
On the other hand, I had my trial by fire 8 days ago, and no one went particularly easy on me. Perhaps its better that way.
Looks like you've made at least 7 comments by now. Hope you've found some topics that interest you! I posted a thread entitled "Why is everyone here?" a few days ago. Not too many comments yet, but it was somewhat informative for me.
