Any serious business, let alone a government agency, has multiple backups and usually one or more off-site. Its total BS that all data was lost even if the entire PC was melted down.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|

- 1Posted by Snoogoo 10 years, 6 months agoWow, how disgusting. Once, I had to call to confirm attendees for a political fundraiser for a job. I had inadvertently called a person who worked for the government on her work phone. She started whispering and gave me her private cell and explained she could not discuss anything political on the job. I certainly respected that and apologized and promised to call her outside work hours on her cell. This outright disrespect for tax payer money is unfortunately typical. On top of that the 'crashed hard drive' defense is laughable. Anyone with basic IT knowledge knows that mail servers and also document servers are backed-up and then backed up again for DR. Fortunately, she left her evidence all over the internet as well with date and time stamps to confirm she did this at work.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
