Hello richrobinson, Thank's for bringing us this article. It made some great points that need repeating. Unfortunately, it will probably not reach the audience that needs it the most. We must keep trying though... maybe it will reach some. Who knows? Regards, O.A.
Hi richrobinson, This says a lot "write the rules so no one can re-distribute wealth or treat different groups and classes of citizens differently" G. Edward Griffin He has been exposing the collectivists methods and their agenda for years. The foundations put into play the destruction of rugged individualism, all in the name of charity or the "public good". No difference really from the Clinton Global Initiative or Clinton Foundation. Attached is G. Edward Griffin in 1982 . If this information was disseminated at that time and people gave a crap about the slow choke hold put on everyone. We would force the constitution to be the guide for our leaders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUYCB...
Thank you Dobrien. I will have to watch that when I get home from work. "The Creature from Jekyll Island" was a real eye opener for me. It's a little discouraging to realize how long some of this information has been out there and yet we continue to see the country slip away.
I like being reminded from time to time about how far we have strayed from our founding. Thomas Jefferson had a healthy mistrust of Government. Today, politicians expect us to trust them with everything. We need to restore that healthy mistrust.
Right on! It needed to be said. Unfortunately, because it shouldn't have been necessary to say it; it should be plain and obvious to anyone who cares about justice, but who does any more? When I was about 12 years old, I cons- tructed my political creed; I recalled the Declar- ation of Independence, and I thought, to build from scratch, nobody should be allowed to use force against anybody else, otherwise one should be allowed to do whatever he wants (ex- cept tell a lie to or about somebody); and my i- dea about what the government should do was very simple. I read about FDR, and was not en- thusiastic about what he had done; it seemed to me that I was all alone in the world with these political opinions, until I discovered Ayn Rand in the Waynesboro public library (when I had just turned 15). But the reason the things in this article are not obvious to everybody, is because the wrong philosophy has been running rampant in the world for so long.
Well said. I was taught that FDR ended the Great Depression. It wasn't until years later that I took the time to read and form my own opinions about what happened. Amazing how much damage the public school systems have done.
Thank you - I went to the source page and found G Edward Griffin. Then I took the time to republish it on my noruler.net. The word "collectivism' covers all the tyranny force upon all.
The current system evolved from the formation of the republic by voting into existence communism for which the majority of the people believe it somehow benefits themselves at the expense of others without harm to others or themselves. It has been the bane of human existence since its beginning and probably will be until the race dies out. Rarely does man live free unless he can do so undetected. It may be the only possibility for free men to exist to never be in large groups. That is when they are noticed and the predators move in.
Thanks, rich. That article bestowed a sharper understanding why the term limit begone Divider-In-Chief was so into being the Divider-In-Chief. I'm also putting it together in my old dino head that progressivism (odd how my spell checker red lines that and gives no way close alternatives and I had to URL look it up) is collectivism is socialism is Communism Lite. Well, actually, I figured that out a long time ago. I'm just refreshing my creaky memory banks to always know who the enemy is to the Republic of We The People.. .
Hi Allosaur. Is there anyone in politics today that comes close to the intellect of Thomas Jefferson? He knew back then the eventual dangers we would face---from our own government.
I recall reading such stuff Jefferson wrote. Cruz and Sessions have probably read the same. Don't know about Trump, but Cruz and Sessions has his attentive ear.
I have wondered from time to time if we should go back to Senators being appointed by their States Governors instead of being elected. At this point I doubt it would make much difference.
