Hi. My name is... Alan Falk

Introduced to Atlas around 1970 by Richard Myers, a lifetime friend and mentor. Read Atlas about 3-4 times. It completely changed my self-perception and my view of "my place in the world."
I was born in 1945, Graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, in 1968, worked ten years at RCA Solid State Division in Somerville, NJ, in the area of power transistor applications, was hired on to Hewlett-Packard in 1978 and held a number of engineering and marketing positions until my retirement from HP in 2002.
Left Silicon Valley in 2005, moving to Raleigh, NC, just before the housing bubble burst. Still very happy and happily retired in Raleigh, but now enjoying blogging, my website at plusaf.com and wood turning.
