Very good summary of the antics during the election. Too bad those who need to read this will not, but it will not be from my lack of attempting to get them to do same.
Thanks for a breath of fresh air and needed intellect.

Great post. This should be required reading for all, especially the nedia pundits and their editors. Of course that assumes they still have a functioning brain cell and can comprehend what they read.

Several things different about this election, with the media unified in unembarrassed support for a particular candidate, even to the point of creating "fake news" to undermine her opponent. It's ironic that Clinton spent a lot of time blasting people who accepted campaign money from Wall Street, and at the same time was the biggest recipient of that big money. Equally ironic was the hostile media providing about $2B of campaign coverage to Donald Trump, frustrated that none of their efforts to kill his candidacy seemed to be working.

Why didn't all of the hostile political ads against Trump work? The political strategists seemed as technologically ignorant as Clinton herself, and apparently weren't aware of the invention of the DVR, with viewers routinely, reflexively blasting past television ads. Wasted money, while Trump made better use of social media.

Most ironic was the fact that Trump beat Hillary using one of the oldest political tools: sloganeering. Everyone could remember "Make America Great Again," and "Drain the swamp." Slogans remind people why they should support a candidate, and Hillary failed in that regard. Her first slogan, "I'm with her," focused strictly on her gender, and seemed very narcissistic. It became a foil for Trump, with his "I'm with YOU" slogan. Her second slogan, "Stronger together," was a vague promise of American unity, which she herself undermined with her "basket of deplorables" comment. Trump won that contest, hands down.

A really good analysis and presentation. Democrats and Media pundits should be reading and absorbing every word. They won't though, because the truth is too painful, and besides, to them, it can't possibly be true. The left reminds me of the survivors of a cataclysmic event who wander around, with their eyes out of focus, muttering, "What just happened?"

Just as in pre-conscious bicameral times these "Post" modern darkened creature set about to re-create a world in their own defective image, rejecting reality and all the natural and physical laws that made existence itself a reality is tantamount to the "self" rejecting "self". That's an apt definition of subjective autoimmune disease.
This is what happens when the dumbest of the dumb indulge in Fake intellectualism. I call it by it's rightful pose: Antilectualism or compartmentalized bullshit.
This is quite a self destructive meme we have here Olley.
