Man says apartment complex called his US flag a ‘threat to Muslim community’ | khou.com Houston
"The apartment community already proudly displays our country's flag in a safe and appropriate manner at the entrances to our community."
This begs the question, is there an UNsafe or INappropriate manner to display the flag...in the U.S.A.???? (ps I love that this guy is loudly standing his ground.)

The statement made by the management office says..."The apartment community already proudly displays our country's flag in a safe and appropriate manner at the entrances to our community." So how is this not a threat to the Muslim community? And what the hell does 'safe and appropriate' mean exactly?
Let someone try to tell me that I can't fly the flag of the country I live in. Hah!
The housing complex is a private entity, which gets to set its own rules. However, it doesn't get to make a contractual relationship, consummate that relationship and then change the rules.
Too many such instances have been occurring with some individual (generally some type of minority) voicing being "offended" and insisting that some third party enforce a non-existing prohibition on the "offensive" item. Those 3rd parties are too gutless, want to avoid confrontation with "minorities", or just want to avoid legal entanglements, so they cave. It's easier to confront a non-minority rather than a minority - and often they back down.
Good for him for pushing back, but if there is definitive language, then he should have been aware of that prior to signing the contract.
