Problem is, how they craft these bills, there's almost always something in each one that each side can use against the other. A multi-billion dollar tax cut bill that includes a pork-barrel bridge in order to get a needed vote to win will be used to excoriate the voter with the pork, not the savings. It would be better if that weren't the case, but it is.
