I highly recommend this book. An excellent read, and the government he defines for Grainne I would emigrate to in a heartbeat

I recommended this book several months back as a Randian archetype. Glad you found the book. You might also try the Carrera-verse books of Tom Kratman, beginning with "A Desert Called Peace".

I need to re-read it; I remember disagreeing with something but I don't remember what. Is it part of a trilogy?

  But he has a couple of other series forked off from that base.book.
