True, and not even "fair share" but just the word "fair" is the tip-off to me. "That's not fa-a-a-air!" is how a child communicates with a parent or teacher. I suppose that Pelosi saying that everyone under 26 is a child, tells me what she thinks of the voters of America -- and she may be right. I'm sorry, but I don't think God wants any part of them any more than you do. Whether you care to be engaged by them or not, you have no choice. You Will be affected by what goes on in DC. If you are angry, wouldn't it be wiser to gather with others to be activists? Remember the old anti war song, "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" Well, they are being choked out of existence. They know they are now right, they know they are not very smart or capable. What they want is to keep getting away with it for a bit longer. The only take as much as they do because they need a next generation of victims. Some day the victims will realize that it is their willingness to be victims that makes the whole mess work. Then, they will be in trouble..

net: I wholeheartedly agree with you except that I always feel that there's more underlying their politics. Taking yes, and amending or changing the meanings of words in order to change the intent of laws in order to do so, the blatant use of force and the lies of 'security' and 'fair share' - all of that is true. But there's more underneath. It seems that they portray an arrogance and certainty that they know best and that they don't even feel the need to explain it.

They are absolutely convinced of their rightness and cannot understand our inability to accept their brilliance. We must be neanderthals. How could we not want their perfect little world of peace and love to everyone, no one is allowed to think evil thoughts, no one has weapons, everyone eats their healthy diets,everyone has basic health care, everyone learns what they know is best for us to know, everyone lives in little 2,000 sqft homes on city lots or apartments and shares the air and water - walking and riding our bicycles. But there's just more to it. I just don't understand it all at this point.

I just watched "1984" again this week on TV. Somehow it seemed even more real, the rewriting of history, the collectivist, the spying on citizens - it seems farther off in 1965 when I first read it.
The government does not know best about climate, medicines, food - they never really research anything. Instead they pay for a group to reach a consensus they want, the better to control us. Educated yourself, read "Rules for Radicals", master defeating the Delphi Technique, research anyone pushing an agenda.
Think for yourself while it is still possible, while 2 + 2 can still equal 4.
